PegShot legal
Terms of Service.
Last updated: September 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of the PegShot Chrome extension and this website. Please read them before using PegShot or purchasing a license.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing, accessing, or using PegShot, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy & Payment Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PegShot.
2. What PegShot provides
PegShot is a Chrome extension for selecting, capturing, copying, exporting, redacting, and extracting text from webpage regions you choose. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.
3. Trial, license, and payments
PegShot may offer a seven-day trial. After the trial, capture features require a valid paid license. Purchases are completed through Gumroad, which is the merchant platform used for checkout and license verification.
The price, taxes, payment terms, and any refund terms shown at Gumroad checkout apply to your purchase. PegShot does not receive or store your card, bank, or other payment details.
A license is linked to the Google account you use to verify it with PegShot. A license key cannot be linked to more than one PegShot account without support assistance.
4. Permitted use
You may use PegShot for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You are responsible for the webpages, content, captures, text, and files you choose to process or share.
Do not use PegShot to violate applicable law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, bypass website access controls, distribute malware, or interfere with the service or its entitlement system.
5. Your content and privacy
You retain responsibility for the content you capture and export. PegShot processes captures, redactions, OCR, PDFs, and clipboard output locally in your browser; the entitlement service does not receive your webpage captures or extracted text. See the Privacy & Payment Terms for details about account, license, and feedback information.
6. Third-party services
PegShot works with Chrome, Google sign-in, Gumroad license verification, Cloudflare-hosted entitlement services, and—if you choose to contact us—Formspree-hosted forms. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
7. Intellectual property
PegShot, its branding, website design, and extension software are owned by Sumit Samantray or their respective rights holders and are protected by applicable law. These terms grant you a limited right to use PegShot; they do not transfer ownership of the software or brand.
8. Availability and disclaimers
PegShot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Webpages, browsers, browser policies, third-party services, and network conditions can affect how features work. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that PegShot will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every website.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sumit Samantray will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or business opportunities arising from your use of PegShot. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes and termination
These terms may be updated when PegShot changes or when required by law. The current version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Access may be suspended or ended for misuse, legal requirements, or service changes.
